Charles Beeson, CHt., was born in Columbus, Ohio, on April 29, 1956. He and his sister were adopted at birth by middle-class parents who raised him with many privileges and encouragement to chase his dreams.

He grew up in a very small rural town in North Central Ohio where he began his fascination with hypnosis at the age of 12. He often reminisces of a time when a book he had mail-ordered, “The Key to Hypnotism”, arrived and his mother hid it from him in fear of being sued by the neighbors for hypnotizing their kids.

He later found it and memorized it with a flashlight under his sheets at night. He soon was able to easily guide folks into hypnosis and even helped an Aunt stop smoking.

His interests grew during his college years with psychology and he went on to receive a diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy at the American Institute of Hypnotherapy in 1991. He has now been practicing professionally for over 30 years and today specializes in treating severe anxiety disorders and PTSD.

In 1994 he created InstaCalm for controlling stress, anxiety & panic. In 1995 he was credited, by the coach, for helping the Stanford University Women’s Swim Team win the NCAA National Championship with InstaCalm program. Today, he is the Director of Clinical Hypnotherapy and president of InstaCalm Anxiety Treatment. His most recent work focuses on alleviating stress, anxiety, and trauma.
